Product application

Installing concrete slabs, walks and driveways are the most common uses of SAKRETE ® High Strength Concrete Mix. There are many different projects requiring slab construction. Slab construction requires the minimum thickness of concrete to be 2 inches (50 mm). Many projects are too small to call for a ready-mix truck so packaged concrete mix works well. The installation of a concrete slab, when done properly, will provide years of a durable, maintenance free surface. Concrete slabs are used as sidewalks, driveways, and as a base for sheds or equipment, just to name a few uses. SAKRETE ® High Strength Concrete and SAKRETE ® Ultra High Strength Fast Setting Concrete are both excellent products for these applications. SAKRETE ® High Strength Concrete is used for those jobs where it is convenient to allow the slab to sit undisturbed for a minimum of 24 hours. SAKRETE ® Ultra High Strength Fast Setting Concrete is used for those applications where you need to place weight on the slab the same day and where a much higher strength is required at both early and late stages of development.
